Today’s post shows some of the books I’m looking forward to being released this year! Some of these books are books that I have already been accepted for on NetGalley, others are ARCs I’ve emailed publishers about, & some are books that I can’t wait to be able to buy. I’ve included the GoodReads links for every book (minis one), but unfortunately not every book I’ve listed has a cover released yet, so after July there aren’t any more pretty covers to fall in love with!
It seems only logical that one of my first posts of 2018 is one that gives a shout-out to all of my favourite reads of 2017; when I first decided I was going to do this post I thought I would only include 10 books, but as it turns out there are 20 books that I just have to put on this list. Despite probably being able to comfortably say which books are my top 3 reads of the year, I’ve decided to list the books in order of author names just so I don’t get stressed out trying to decide where each would go on a chronological list of enjoyment.
This is such a feel good book, packed full of the wonders of true friendship. I laughed & cried along with the characters & enjoyed the entire journey. This novel isn’t one that constantly leaves you hanging off of the edge of your seat, instead it warms your heart & makes you a part of the story. Despite Under A Painted Sky being a feel good book, it exposes readers to some painful truths that have been delicately & expertly woven into the plot, which cast a shadow upon the reader. This novel is truly a wonderful piece of writing.
Last night I finished Outrun the Moon by Stacey Lee & I absolutely loved it. I learnt a lot & my emotions were pulled from pillar to post. Please know this write up will include a lot of spoilers, so don’t read it unless you’ve read the book!
