In July I had a university deadline so I didn’t read quite as much as I did in June; the books I did get through though, were all brilliant & I managed to read a variety of stories as well. July was also the month my blog came back to life & I think it’s done quite well considering it was dormant for almost six months (even if I’ve not stuck to my schedule quite as well as I wanted to, oops). Whether you’re someone who has been following me for a while, or you’re new here, thank you for taking the time to support my writing.
Last Halloween I actually left the house to do something social, but there was no way I was going without SOMETHING bookish – so I chose to don some ears & become an elf, just like Pirate Captain, Shae Lara. So, you could say I like this series. But really, I absolutely f’ing love this series & I command all of you to stop what you’re doing (after you’ve read my review of course) & read Sophia’s work immediately.
Keep an eye out for a bookish nails post later today!
I was sent a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.
⚠️ This book contains slavery of a fantasy race, graphic violence (a bit of gore), death, graphic sex scenes, parental death, suicide/assisted dying, graphic sword fighting & some drowning ⚠️
I heard about The Veiled Threat via one of the blog tour organisers that I work with – unfortunately the dates of the tour didn’t work for me, but Sophia was kind enough to send me a copy of the book to review anyway & I am so glad she did. This was an exciting story that felt very unique & I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
