GoodReads Review Round-Up

img_5523My list of books I need could be writing reviews for is extremely long & today I realised that a large amount of them are books I read in 2019 so I’ve decided to put together a post that’s made up of my short GoodReads’ reviews of some of these books. None of the books in this post are ones that I’ve been sent to review & I’ve added a little extra to a few reviews, depending on the notes I made when I was reading them. Doing this post means I can still recommend some fantastic books, whilst also taking some of the pressure off myself!

Skycircus by Peter Bunzl

When I found out that Peter was doing a Cogheart book about a circus I literally squealed with excitement – I’ve been obsessed with this series since the day I found out about it & knowing that two things I loved were coming together was wonderful news. Peter smashed it with this book, just as I knew he would & I can’t wait to pass these books onto my future children.

Moonlocket by Peter Bunzl

moonlocketYet another beautiful and charming book by Peter Bunzl!

This adventure was full of so many surprises, just like the first book, and was just as exciting! I love the world these books are set in and I always find myself wanting to know more and more about how this world works. The story picked up not long after where the previous book finished and included all of the fabulous goodies from the first tale – but we also got introduced to more! As well as some new devilish baddies as well.

Cogheart by Peter Bunzl

cogheartThis book was so wonderful! I’m fairly sure it’s been written for younger readers than 21 but I still adored it and cannot wait for the next one (only a few more days until it comes out!)

Although I guessed some of the plot before it happened I still was totally hooked on the plot and was always desperate to know what was going to happen next. I love the worldbuilding so much and I just wanna get back in there and explore this version of Victoria’s England! The characters were totally adorable too and I’m so in love with Lily.

I can’t wait to spend more time in this world and with these characters; this book was so adorable and so, so wonderful and it managed to put multiple huge smiles on my face!
