January to June

This is my first Sum-Up Sunday of 2020 – horaay! As my blog has been closed for most of 2020 I’ve put together a graphic for each month of the year so far, with details of what books I’ve read & how many pages I’ve managed so far! By the end of June I had got to 43 out of 70 books & I enjoyed all of them; keep reading to find out what those books were…

Hello followers! Before I get into talking about how good 2020 has been for books (& lets be honest, that’s the only good thing about it so far) I just wanted to write a little bit about why you’ve not heard from me for a while… Longterm friends & followers will know that I suffer with mental & physical illnesses & for a while my depression got a little bit too much & I decided to take a break from my blog to help lighten the load. Things got pretty bad at one point but throughout the whole time, reading was still a massive support for me & I’ve been lucky enough to have read some incredible books so far this year. I am now back though, hopefully for good, & I have some brilliant reviews coming up for you; one review has already gone up this week & that was about The Wolf of Oren-Yaro by K.S. Villoso which has become one of my all time favourite books! I’ve got a good mix of MG, YA & adult books to tell you about so thank you SO much for sticking with me during my time away & I hope you’re able to enjoy some of the books I’ll be talking about as much as I did!

Coming up over the next few weeks I’ve got reviews scheduled for most of the books shown above as well as a round-up of Doctor Who reviews, The Last Cherry Blossom by Kathleen Burkinshaw, Peril en Pointe by Helen Lipscombe, When I Hit You by Meena Kandasamy & a post all about books by Black authors that I’m not reviewing but do want to promote.

If you’re still reading, thank you for sticking with me; I’ve missed the excitement of blogging & I’m really happy to be back writing for you all. I hope you’ve all read some great books during the first half of 2020, & I’d love to know if you’ve read any of the books featured in this post.

Thanks for reading!
