Wild Boy by Rob Lloyd Jones

Wild Boy.jpg

This book is one of the wonderful examples of why I love buying secondhand books, because I may not have found this title if it wasn’t for sale at my doctor’s practice! I enjoyed Wild Boy so much & ordered the sequel as soon as I’d finished it; if you love a good ol’ MG/teen mystery with a circus setting & great friendships then you’ll love this book!

⚠ This book contains very mild (age-appropriate) violence,
including mild scenes of abuse toward Wild Boy ⚠

The book wasn’t what I was expecting, but it still blew me away & I was hooked from the very first page. Beauty Sleep is a phenomenal story & Kathryn’s first book is going straight onto my wishlist!

The Land of Stone Flowers

Now we all know that that I love a picture book – but this book is a little different from the picture books I’ve previously reviewed, because it’s an adult picture book. And it’s bloody fantastic!!

Enchantée was such a hyped-up book & I was one of the many people that were incredibly over-excited about the release of this story, & when I got an ARC I squealed with excitement. I was not let down by this story at all, I adored it & missed it incredibly when it was over.
