2018 Bookish Yays & Nays

It’s the final day of 2018 so I thought I’d throw a quick post together about my top books of the year & those that I didn’t even finish! I haven’t posted for a while & I’ll be honest in saying that I’ve been neglecting my blog a little recently, so I’m hoping that in 2019 I’ll pick things back up & will make myself proud of my blog again. I am starting uni in January though, so that has to be my main focus! Keep your fingers crossed for me…

My Favourite Books of 2018

The Mermaid & Mrs Hancock | Chevalier | Moonshine | Paris Adrift | She Be Damned The Beast Player | The Poppy War | The Illumination of Ursula Flight | The Kites
Star of the North | Meghan: A Hollywood Princess | The Forest Queen
The Impossible Girl | Caitlyn: A Stain on the Soul | Braid of Sand | Rothana

2018 was a very good reading year for me & I genuinely read some incredible books – including loads that I haven’t mentioned in this post… I also read some shitstorms but lets not go there. I didn’t hit my read-pages target but I did hit my reading goal in terms of books by reading 80 of 80 books, which is fab.

I also got invited to some book events for the first time because of my blog & I’m beyond proud of that – I’ve also been sent a lot of ARCs this year & that’s something I’m even more proud of. It’s been a good year.

Bring on all the fantastic books of 2019.

  1. How have I never heard of The Impossible Girl?! I love anything with a strangely morbid twist on like this! Definitely going to pick up a copy now, especially if you enjoyed it!
