June
I hate it when people say a month flew by, but seriously – what happened to June? I don’t even know how to open this post because I can’t remember anything about last month…

Reading Challenges
GoodReads:
So I only managed to finish 6 books in June, which I’m really disappointed about, but I didΒ finallyΒ finish Outlander so it’s not all bad… June’s reading brought my GoodReads total up to 43 which is equal to 54% so I’m not a total failure.
Beat the Backlist:
Almost everything I read in June was a reviewer’s copy so I’ve neglected my Beat the Backlist challenge yet again… hopefully I can fix this in July.
My Doctor Who Challenge:
In June I read The Feast of the Drowned & almost hated it – the Doctor & Rose were written awfully & the story dragged so badly. Praying that the next book will be better.
Reviewer’s Copies:
~ NetGalley:
- Colder (The Tamelin Light) by Alexander Bryant, from BooksGoSocial
~ Print:
- A Sky Painted Gold by Laura Wood, from Scholastic UK
- Akea – The Power of Destiny by Elizabeth Jade, from i2ipublishing via Rachel’s Random Resources
~ Digital:
- Barnabas Tew and the Case of the Missing Scarab by Columbkill Noonan, from Crooked Cat Books via Rachel’s Random Resources
- The Daughter of the River Valley by Victoria Cornwell, from Choc Lit via Rachel’s Random Resources
Page Count Challenge:
- January: 1908 pages
- February: 2577 pages
- March: 2237 pages
- April:Β 1926 pages
- May: 1953 pages
- June: 1821 pages
Bringing my 2018 total up to 12,422 pages! My aim 2018 was 30,000 pages but I doubt I’ll do it – still, I’m happy with my total so far.
Health
Another month, another diagnosis – ever heard of central cranial diabetes insipidus? Nah, me neither until a couple of weeks ago. I’m planning to write a post about what I know about the illness so far for Medical Mondays sometime over July so keep an eye out for it if you’re curious. Anyway, this new diagnosis brings my list of illnesses up to a grand total ofΒ 8Β – how charming.
Life
I genuinely can’t think of anything to put into this section for June – like I said already, I don’t remember much about June so clearly it wasn’t a very eventful month for me.
Can you tell I feel like crap as I write this? I apologise.
I am impressed with your reading numbers! I only pledged to read 20 books in 2018 on Goodreads … and I hope that I make it. Lol
Anyways, I am sorry you’re not feeling well. I understand. I have many days like that. It can become hard to do normal activities when you have chronic illnesses. I hope today is being good to you π€
Take care!
