This tag was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm & was revived on Taking on a World of Words – I got the idea from Katie Judges Books; WWW Wednesdays involves answering three simple questions:
1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
At the moment my Mondays are dedicated to reading the A Song of Ice & Fire books (this is because Game of Thrones is shown on a Monday in the UK & I don’t watch the show but wanted to be involved in the hype on the same days as my boyfriend) & this Monday I started A Dance of Dragons: After The Feast (Part 2 of Book 5). I’m only a couple of chapters in but as always I’m really enjoying the book – I’ll be really upset when I finish it as the next book, Winds of Winter, hasn’t been released yet. I’m also reading an ARC of Seasons of the Moon by Julien Aranda (translated by Roland Glasser); the book is about a young French man who is asked by a dying Nazi to find his daughter & tell her he loves her. So far the book has been quite interesting & it’s quite different from anything else I’ve read – the writing is very poetic but the main character is also irritatingly positive! What did you recently finish reading?
The last book I finished was Pax by Sara Pennypacker! This book was so adorable but was also really emotional… the last few books I’ve read, including my current read, have all been war stories so my heart strings have been well & truly pulled recently. Pax itself is a middle grade book about a boy who is forced to let his pet fox loose when he is forced to move to his grandfather’s house when his father goes to war; charged by love, the boy runs away from his grandfather’s to go on a mission to find his beloved fox, Pax. What do you think you’ll read next?
My next read is going to be one from my My Summer Library Reading List; You’re Welcome, Universe by Whitney Gardner! The reason I’m planning to read this book next is simple – someone has reserved it at the library & so I have to return it in a few days. This book has been on my TBR for a while & this is because I’ve been told it has great disability rep – watch this space for a review. Click on the cover for the GoodRead’s page!
